I wouldn't put too much thought into the anatomical reality of a giraffe wearing a bathing suit--the makeup, earring, and the fact that it's wearing a bathing suit at all shows that it's been anthropomorphised. (Our local zoo has a very young giraffe, and on a recent visit it was very obvious that its mother was lactating.
