To Mark M: I’m guessing John Venn wouldn’t otherwise have thought of any mathematical reasoning behind the “boob drawings”, so the woman’s catching him started him on the trail of inventing his famous diagrams (and set theory itself, I think.)

I may have taken a bit of licence with the literal definition of the term oxymoron as clearly “girl” and “talk” are not contradictory.

However, Arol and Janis both used the phrase “girl talk” to convey the a meaning that was completely contradictory to what “girl talk”, taken at face value, means. In this case Janice wasn’t going to talk about her session with Mary Lou to Arlo (i.e. girl won’t talk).

If there’s a better term for this, please pass it on.
